My PC Inventory Module Supporting software:
If you plan to use the My PC Inventory module, you will need a media player installed. Windows Media Player will work. If you want to be able to alter the speed, see WinAmp and PaceMaker below. When you click on a play button in Ghillie Tracks, the default program for the type of file you are playing will open. For example, you click to play a recording that is stored as a .mp3 file. If the default program for .mp3 files is Windows Media Player, then Windows Media Player will open and play the .mp3 file.
Recommended media player: WinAmp. It is available free at http://www.winamp.com/player Ghillie Tracks provides for play and enqueue buttons in a variety of places. The only media player known to support the enqueue function is WinAmp. Enqueue is handy for building a list of recordings to use in class or at a event.
PaceMaker is a free WinAmp plugin that will adjust the playback speed in small increments while maintaining pitch.
To install WinAmp and PaceMaker:
You will need software to take the contents of your CD and place it on your hard drive as an .mp3 or other media files. Ghillie Tracks comes with CDex, a free CD ripping program.
